The youth hostel is located directly on Lake Xanten, in the immediate vicinity of the Archaeological Park. The bright rooms – many with a view of the lake – are modernly furnished.
What makes Xanten special is the variety of leisure activities on offer: in the Archaeological Park, excavations of the Roman city of Colonia Ulpia Traiana, with its temples, thermal baths and amphitheatre, have been brought to life in their original size. Xanten's North Sea and South Sea are ideal locations for water sports and swimming. A high ropes course completes the range of activities on offer.
