Clamping blocks exhibition in Panarbora

60 metres of track, self-propelled trains, impressive factories and the „Waldbröl“ railway station: at the end of February, a large exhibition of clamping blocks will be held for the second time in the Waldbröl „Panarbora“ nature adventure park.

After visitors were able to enjoy a large funfair landscape last year, the conference building in „Panarbora“ will be transformed into a huge miniature railway world from 24 to 25 February. For the first time ever, eight brick architects from all over Germany will be presenting a continuous railway landscape on which trains of different lengths and speeds will be sent on their journey.

In addition to a smoking steam locomotive, there is also a replica of the Swiss „Crocodile“ locomotive consisting of 5,500 parts on a scale of 1:18 and what is probably the longest motorised brick train in Germany at 6.70 metres.

„It goes past countless buildings, such as a 3.50 m long clamp brick factory, an impressive waste incineration plant and a one metre tall Ferris wheel, all the way to the Waldbröl railway station, which was specially designed for the exhibition,“ explains model maker and co-initiator Werner Nowotny from Kevelaer.

In addition to the exhibition, guests of all ages can look forward to workshops on the topic of „Building with clamping blocks“, various building and play activities, an exciting search game for children and interesting interviews with the modellers.

The clamp building block exhibition at the Panarbora Nature Adventure Park (Nutscheidstraße 1 in Waldbröl) will be open on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February 2023, from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission costs five euros. Annual pass holders have free admission. You can find more information at www.panarbora.de.
