Congratulations on the world record!

On 20 April 2024, an official world record attempt took place in the Waldbröl Panarbora Youth Hostel Nature Adventure Park: Anthony-Peter Konrad from Siegen-Eiserfeld had set himself the goal of completing at least 2,500 metres of ascent and descent within 12 hours by running up and down the youth hostel's observation tower non-stop. Did he manage it? But easy!

Record target clearly exceeded

Peter Anthony Konrad climbed 2,924 metres in altitude or just under 43 kilometres in his world record attempt, thus clearly exceeding the target he had set himself. The 40-year-old ran up and down the observation tower a total of 43 times in his attempt.

In the end, his legs were really pinching. But these physical exertions were definitely worth it. Not only did the likeable man from Siegen set a new world record, he also drew attention to the Caritas project „Do you hear me?“ with his attempt - a project that provides bereavement support and looks after children with a seriously ill parent, for example.
