A weekend away with the whole family, friends or the sports club is a special experience that everyone will remember for a long time. But finding the ideal time is often not that easy. Or maybe it is! Our weekend group trips can be booked all year round. In addition to two nights' accommodation in shared rooms and catering, you will always receive an exciting adventure module. Some programmes are particularly suitable for the warmer months, others are ideal for the colder months - and some are just as much fun in winter as they are when it's 30 degrees in the shade! Spring: time for team spirit & adventure

The Spring stands for new beginnings and change - the perfect time to grow together as a group. And where better to do that than outdoors in nature? With the programme „Outdoor team training“ at Duisburg-Sportpark youth hostel you have to pull together as a group. The aim is to solve co-operative challenges and construction tasks, overcome water ditches during the escape from „Alcatraz“ and finally climb to unimagined heights in Ladder Climbing XXL. Climbing is also on the programme „Climbing & via ferrata XXL“ in the Duisburg Landscape Park on the programme. The disused ironworks is, after all, the largest outdoor climbing garden in Germany. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced climber, there are 400 routes and a 450-metre via ferrata ready for you. Height not your thing? With the module „The quarry up close“ at Lindlar Youth Hostel you will learn about the life of the stonemason and Bergisch greywacke. Equipped with a hammer and chisel, young researchers can go in search of fossils and keep them as souvenirs. At the end of the tour, you will visit the greywacke museum on your own, where you can put your previously acquired knowledge to the test.

Summer: Water fun & action

What could be better than refreshment on a hot summer's day? You can get this, for example, on the group tour „Stand-up paddling at Monschau-Hargard Youth Hostel. You will explore the Rursee together as a group, carry out team exercises on the water and try your hand at SUP polo. The crowning glory is the giant SUP, which is moved across the water together. You can cool down even more in the programme „Raft building“ at Simmerath-Rurberg youth hostel. But first you have to build sturdy rafts from barrels, ropes and wood and launch them into the water. Once you've done that, you have to steer the raft in the right direction and pick up speed.

Autumn: discover nature & experience wilderness

Outdoors or indoors? Both are possible in autumn: the programme is particularly popular now „Schafari - all about sheep and wool“ at Blankenheim Youth Hostel. At the Lampertstal livestock farm, you will meet the sheep of the Vikings. You will learn how sheep's wool is actually made into jumpers, hats and socks and visit the sheep in Germany's third largest juniper heath. Incidentally, the programme can be booked for children from the age of 4 and is a special experience for everyone. The programme is also perfect for autumn „Forest and wilderness adventure“ at Radevormwald Youth Hostel. We'll head out into the autumn forest: as well as building forest huts, you'll learn how to make fire with the help of sparking sticks. In the afternoon, you'll go in search of clues. What clues can you find about forest dwellers? At the end of the day, you'll need a good eye for archery.

Winter: Indoor fun & teamwork

Too cold for outside? No problem - our winter programmes will still get you moving! At Bad Münstereifel Youth Hostel, you can take part in the „Clear the ring: team acrobatics“ develop and perform acrobatic figures together. The show culminates in the unique atmosphere of a real circus tent. Even more weatherproof challenges await you at Gemünd Vogelsang Youth Hostel, e.g. at the Archery & indoor climbing„ programme. Sport, blind and speed climbing are on the programme at the in-house indoor climbing wall, which is up to 18 m high. You can only go outside for archery, where you can test your marksmanship with modern recurve bows.
