FISU University Games: sport, excitement and festival flair

Summer 2025 will be sporty - and right in the centre of the Rhineland! From 16 to 27 July, the FISU World University Games The event is an international multi-sport event for students from all over the world. In addition to Berlin and the Ruhr region, the Rhineland also plays a central role. Particularly exciting: the big closing ceremony takes place in the unique Duisburg Landscape Park and promises a spectacular mix of industrial culture and festival atmosphere.

If you want to be there live, you should secure your accommodation now - but don't worry: some youth hostels in the region still have rooms available. Especially the Duisburg Landschaftspark Youth Hostel and the Düsseldorf Youth Hostel are ideal starting points for anyone who wants to experience sport, enjoy an international atmosphere and stay overnight in comfort.
