Who doesn't know that? New Year's Eve should be something special. With a festive meal, of course. The children want entertainment, games and music, the adults want a cosy get-together. And the next morning, everyone gets together for a delicious New Year's breakfast. Sounds great, but also pretty stressful, right? Travelling to Nideggen Youth Hostel „On the trail of the Counts of Jülich“ and find out what life was like in the Middle Ages at Nideggen Castle. You will undergo active training in the virtues of the knightly age - including rhyming, dancing and archery. Adventurous families will find the programme „New Year's Eve Survival“ The youth hostel Simmerath-Rurberg offers many a challenge: lighting a campfire without matches, learning to read winter tracks, building emergency bivouacs for „winterising“, archery, navigating with a GPS device or map and compass... Those who prefer to stay indoors in the wintry temperatures can look forward to a heated circus tent at Nettetal-Hinsbeck Youth Hostel. At „Clear the ring“ everyone can put their circus talent to the test and be part of the big circus gala at the end.
