„Music Special“: Rehearsals & saving at the Xantener Südsee

Xanten Youth Hostel is one of a total of 14 music youth hostels in the Rhineland. This year, the hostel is also participating in a special offer for choirs and music groups, the „Music Special 2024“. With this offer, you can rehearse in the high season at a price that is otherwise only possible in the low season. From €102.40 per person, you will receive all the services of the three-day music package „The Classic“ and many other extras at Xanten Youth Hostel. A total of 8 music youth hostels offer the popular music package „The Classic“ at a discounted price on selected weekends throughout the year, even in the high season. This allows you to save over 10% per cent, including in Xanten.

Best conditions directly on the South Sea

A total of eight rehearsal rooms are available at Xanten Youth Hostel, all with acoustic walls. This allows the musicians to rehearse undisturbed - in groups of up to 60 people. The rooms are between 33 and 96 square metres in size. The guests are correspondingly diverse. „There is a wide range of choirs and orchestras. From wind instruments to strings and drummers, everything is included,“ says programme coordinator Sieglinde Holter.

„We focus entirely on the individual needs of each music group and are in close dialogue with the participants,“ she explains. „We discuss all the details together in advance of the stay, from the instruments to be brought in order to choose the perfect room size to the question of seating ‚with or without armrests‘ to ensure the most comfortable rehearsals possible. We can also provide two pianos if required.“ A delicious - light - catering offer, which can be adapted as required, is part of the perfect rehearsal weekend.

A particular plus in the warmer half of the year: „The outdoor area of the youth hostel is often used for rehearsals. The spacious meadows are particularly inviting when the weather is nice. As we are surrounded by so much nature, there is no risk of disturbing neighbours,“ explains Sieglinde Holter. What's more, the rehearsal rooms are at ground level. This means that the instruments can easily reach the rehearsal room from the nearby car park. In the evenings and after a successful day of rehearsals, the Xantener Südsee is right on the doorstep and invites you to take a walk and relax. Particularly active groups can test their talent at various water sports activities.

Like Xanten Youth Hostel, all music youth hostels in the Rhineland offer ideal rehearsal conditions with many extras especially for music groups. 8 music youth hostels in the Rhineland are also offering the „Music Special 2024“ for the first time. This includes:
