„Brilliant prospects“ in Xanten
Climate change is one of the issues that concerns us all. With the effects we are experiencing, it is not easy to approach the topic with humour. The Exhibition „Brilliant prospects“ by the Catholic aid organisation Misereor shows how it can be done. The caricatures take a satirical look at climate change, lifestyles, consumer behaviour and justice. From 24 October to 11 November 2024, the works of around 40 cartoonists will be exhibited at four locations in Xanten. Thee Xanten Youth Hostel becomes an exhibition venue. Four caricatures can be found in the foyer of Xanten Youth Hostel. Konstantina Tsanis, the manager of the youth hostel, is delighted to be part of the campaign and thinks that the hostel is particularly suitable as an exhibition venue. After all, the caricatures invite people to reflect and communicate. Other exhibition venues include the town hall, St Viktor's Cathedral and the World Shop.
- Xanten Youth Hostel: 4 caricatures
- Weltladen: 12 caricatures
- St Victor's Cathedral: 12 caricatures
- Xanten Town Hall: 62 caricatures
