Our 2023 annual report is here!
More than 1 million overnight stays and second place in the nationwide guest statistics: the good results from 2023 confirm that the DJH Rhineland Regional Association is successfully implementing its statutory mission to promote social participation as an extracurricular place of learning. You can now read about how we are achieving this in our new 2023 annual report, which we have published in blog format for the second time.
So much in a nutshell:
- The number of members in the DJH Rhineland regional association rose by 2.5% to 330,322 members.
- With 1,032,446 overnight stays, we built on the pre-corona results.
- Kevelaer Youth Hostel had to be closed. An open-ended process for a new concept for the location is now underway.
- The election of delegates for the DJH Rhineland regional association took place as scheduled in 2023: 23 delegates were re-elected and 18 were newly elected to their honorary positions.
- Refugees were again temporarily accommodated in selected youth hostels.
After years of tough cost-cutting measures, we are delighted to be able to continue many projects that had to be suspended during the coronavirus pandemic - including the climate-neutral expansion of the youth hostels, investments in guest comfort and the strategy process to secure the future.
In addition to figures, data and results, in our annual report we always want to make it clear how we implement the values and goals orientated towards the common good in our daily work. We therefore invite you to take part in the special events, interesting encounters and diverse projects of the youth hostels in the Rhineland in 2023:
