Learn to swim during the summer holidays

Summer, sun, swimming fun - for many children this means carefree splashing around in the water. But what about those who are not yet confident swimmers? Don't worry, because Brüggen Youth Hostel is offering a very special holiday camp this summer: not only can children have a great time here, they can also learn to swim in a fun way!

Learn to swim with fun and safety

Under the guidance of experienced DLRG swimming instructors, children between the ages of 8 and 12 learn how to move safely in, around and under water. On five days, exclusive water times are available in the indoor pool in Brüggen so that the children can concentrate fully on their swimming technique in a calm environment.

Seahorse or bronze - the goal is within reach!

Depending on their previous knowledge, children can aim for the seahorse or bronze swimming badge during this week. With lots of fun and varied exercises, the children playfully explore the water - be it through swimming games with fins, balls and pool noodles or exciting underwater discovery tours. The official swimming tests will then take place on Friday afternoon, after which the newly qualified swimmers will hopefully be able to proudly receive their badges and certificates.

Exciting days out of the water too

Of course, there is also plenty to do outside the pool. After the arrival, the get-to-know-you bingo starts, which ensures first friendships. The water chaos game on Monday morning gets everyone going, and creative and exciting activities such as building mini rafts, a water Olympics and an adventurous night hike are on the programme throughout the week. Sailor songs around the campfire provide an atmospheric end to the days.
