After all, the suspension railway, which was inaugurated in 1901, is the city's landmark and an important tourist attraction. The \u201eGreen Zoo\u201c, as Wuppertal Zoo is known, is one of the most beautiful zoos in Germany. Situated on a hillside, the zoo is characterised by wide meadows, large ponds and an old stock of trees.
