Five matches of the EUFA EURO 2024, including between Austria and France, Albania and Spain and one round of 16 and one quarter-final match each, will take place in the Arena D\u00fcsseldorf. But even those who are unable to get a ticket can join in the excitement and celebrations in D\u00fcsseldorf, e.g. at the public viewing on the banks of the Rhine or in one of the two specially set up fan zones. Even between matches, there is no time for boredom in the NRW state capital. D\u00fcsseldorf has a lot to offer - for football enthusiasts as well as for culture vultures and families.\n<\/p>\n<h2>Arena D\u00fcsseldorf<\/h2>\n<p>The MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA will become the D\u00fcsseldorf Arena during EURO 2024. The following European Championship matches will take place here:<\/p>\n<p>17.06. Austria-France<br \/>\n21.06. Slovakia - Ukraine<br \/>\n24.06. Albania - Spain<br \/>\n01.07. Round of sixteen<br \/>\n06.07. Quarter final<\/p>\n<p>If you are lucky enough to be at one of the matches in the D\u00fcsseldorf Arena, you should definitely pay a visit to the monument to Toni Turek before the game. The bronze statue of the 1954 World Cup winner, who was instrumental in the \u201eMiracle of Bern\u201c thanks to his saves, stands in front of the entrance to the stadium.<\/p>\n<h2>Public Viewing and Fan Zones<\/h2>\n<p>On <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitduesseldorf.de\/attraktionen\/public-viewing-rheinufer-43243f90d7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">D\u00fcsseldorf banks of the Rhine<\/a><\/span> all matches of the German national team and all matches taking place in D\u00fcsseldorf will be broadcast. The extraordinary location directly on the Rhine with the state parliament, the Rhine Tower and the Rheinkniebr\u00fccke bridge as a backdrop creates a particularly unique atmosphere - the perfect place to watch the games and share the excitement with friends. Not far away, between the banks of the Rhine and the old town, is the <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitduesseldorf.de\/attraktionen\/fan-zone-burgplatz-f64f1174ea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burgplatz one of a total of two fan zones<\/a><\/span>. It is open daily from 12 noon and offers a varied programme with TV broadcasts, live match broadcasts and performances by renowned music acts and local artists. In addition, Burgplatz will host an extensive football programme and the \u201eEURO 2024 Festival eFootball Masters\u201c, which will give local e-sports teams the chance to prove themselves in an exciting 11vs11 format. The <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitduesseldorf.de\/attraktionen\/fan-zone-schauspielhaus-f0a587308c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Second D\u00fcsseldorf Fan Zone<\/a><\/span> is located at the D\u00fcsseldorf Schauspielhaus theatre. Football fans can enjoy football and culture around the architecture hotspot on all UEFA EURO 2024 event days. Selected matches will be shown here on a big screen, while actors from the D'haus ensemble and students from the D\u00fcsseldorf drama studio will join football and theatre enthusiasts of all generations on several dates to present the <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitduesseldorf.de\/event\/glaube-liebe-fussball-b379c073f0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Open-air theatre play \u201eFaith, love, football\u201c<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2>Further recommendations for visitors to D\u00fcsseldorf:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>There are culinary highlights on almost every street corner in D\u00fcsseldorf. D\u00fcsseldorf's historic city centre is particularly recommended. Here you will find the \u201elongest bar in the world\u201c: 260 pubs, restaurants and bars spread over half a square kilometre. The breweries serve the famous D\u00fcsseldorf Altbier and hearty Rhenish home cooking. Not far away, along Immermannstra\u00dfe, you will find D\u00fcsseldorf's Little Tokyo. Here you will find sushi, ramen and tonkatsu, of course, but also a shop selling Japanese sweets, a Japanese cocktail bar, a bookshop and many other Japanese shops.<\/li>\n<li>You can experience politics during EURO2024 at the D\u00fcsseldorf State Parliament. The architecturally particularly interesting building right next to the Rhine Tower will be open to visitors on 15, 22, 23, 29 and 30 June from 11 am to 4 pm. On these dates, you can take part in guided tours, take a look inside the plenary chamber and enjoy the fantastic view of the Rhine.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoying art and culture is particularly easy in D\u00fcsseldorf: the city has a diverse museum landscape that has something to offer for a wide range of interests. The <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kunstsammlung.de\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NRW Art Collection,<\/a><\/span> consisting of K20 and K21, houses an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art. K20 concentrates on works from the 20th century, while K21 displays artworks from the 1980s onwards. The <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrw-forum.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NRW Forum<\/a><\/span> is known for its interdisciplinary exhibitions, which include photography, media art, fashion and design. From 23 June, the NRW-Forum and the <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kunstpalast.de\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Art Palace<\/a><\/span> again \u201e<span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kunstpalast.de\/de\/event\/die-grosse-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">THE BIG ONE<\/a><\/span>\u201c, where the exhibited works can also be purchased. The new collection is currently on display in the Kunstpalast, diagonally opposite the NRW-Forum. From 20 June, the exhibition \u201eSpot on: Hairytales\u201c, which focuses on human hair.
