29 bed-and-bike youth hostels on 14 cycle routes

The 29 ADFC-certified Bed & Bike youth hostels in the Rhineland are located along 14 cycle routes. Mountains and reservoirs meet medieval town centres; blast furnaces and former winding towers meet art, culture and museums. The Rhineland has everything that cycle travellers could wish for:

Service for cyclists at a glance

Tip: Rhine in view

Fun for families: the Rhine cycle path!

On the left and right bank of the Rhine, it runs for 260 kilometres from the Siebengebirge to the Lower Rhine - with the great river always in view. 12 youth hostels offer a close-knit network of overnight accommodation: Bad Honnef, Bonn, Cologne-Deutz, Cologne-Riehl, Cologne-Pathpoint, Neuss, Düsseldorf, Ratingen, Duisburg-Sportpark, Duisburg-Landschaftspark, Xanten and Kleve.

Our suggestion: A week-long cycle tour in several stages from Bad Honnef to the Dutch border. The leisure and cultural activities on offer in the cities of Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Duisburg make this route ideal for families.

Day one: Bad Honnef - Bonn, tip: Drachenfels, Museum of German History Information on all 29 Bed & Bike youth hostels, the Rhine Cycle Route and 13 other routes can be found in the „Cycling in the Rhineland“ brochure.
