„Vive la France“ in Düsseldorf

This summer, one festival follows the next in the NRW state capital of Düsseldorf. After the European Football Championships, the popular Rhine funfair begins in mid-July, as it does every year. For a fortnight, the banks of the Rhine in Oberkassel are transformed into a colourful area of fairground rides, games and food stalls. Afterwards, from 26 to 28 July, the Rhine Fair takes place on the banks of the Rhine, on Burgplatz and in the inner courtyard of the town hall. 22nd Düsseldorf France Festival instead.

La Grande Fête Française

Over 100 exhibitors transform the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf into a little corner of France with their products. Crêpes, macarons, cheese, baguettes, wine and champagne - gourmets get their money's worth here. But of course the France Festival offers much more than just culinary highlights. It is a festival for the whole family, with street artists, exhibitions, readings and discussions centred around Franco-German friendship. Short trip to „Petit Paris“?
