Successful start: Ukulele regulars' table at Kleve youth hostel

On 26 February, the time had come: the first ukulele get-together took place at Kleve Youth Hostel - and it was a great success! The initiator of the evening was Detlev Alaze, a passionate ukulele player from Bedburg-Hau, who put his heart and soul into organising this special evening.

A meeting place for music lovers

The Kleve Music Youth Hostel proved to be the perfect venue for this musical gathering. The cafeteria offered enough space for the 25 participants who came together that evening. The enthusiasm was so great that the first guests arrived as early as 5.45 pm - although the official start was not scheduled until 6.30 pm. A clear sign that the anticipation of making music together was huge.

Diverse participants - from Kleve to the Netherlands

The broad response was particularly pleasing: in addition to music lovers from Kleve, Goch and Emmerich, guests from Cologne, Duisburg and Krefeld also found their way to the regulars' table. There was even a participant from the neighbouring Netherlands. Another highlight: three absolute newcomers used the evening to find out more about the ukulele and gain their first impressions. This made the regulars' table not only a place for experienced players, but also a platform for the curious and beginners.

Musical programme and social get-together

The evening's musical programme was well thought out: Various songs were played together in two one-hour game sessions, interrupted by a 20-minute break. But it wasn't just the music that took centre stage - there was also plenty of opportunity for the participants to chat. Right from the start, there was a lot of laughter, chatting and sharing of common passions. The conclusion of the evening? A complete success!
