China Lights - short holiday full of magic & nature

Fancy an extraordinary autumn highlight? From 10 October to 30 November 2025, the China Lights in Kleve Zoo brings colour and fantasy to the dark season. Thousands of LEDs light up the zoo and turn an evening stroll into an unforgettable experience.

China Lights by night & Tiergarten by day

The Kleve Youth Hostel has taken China Lights 2025 as an opportunity to put together a special offer, the „China Lights“ event package for Families and Single travellers aged 16 and over. In the evening, dragons, mythical creatures and colourful butterfly tunnels await. During the day, Kleve Zoo shows its nature-loving side: over 350 animal species - from the red panda to the snowy owl - offer plenty of photo opportunities and exciting observation possibilities.

Kleve Youth Hostel - a retreat in nature

Kleve Youth Hostel is located right next to the Reichswald forest. Ideal for walks, runs or simply to switch off in peace. Single travellers enjoy uncomplicated accommodation in a relaxed atmosphere, while families enjoy the large outdoor area and the hostel's own playroom.
