Our hands-on tip: The week of open choirs

Do you enjoy singing but haven't managed to find a choir yet? Or are you part of a choir and are urgently looking for enthusiastic new talent? Then we have a great tip for you: from 4 to 10 November, the second Open Choir Week will take place nationwide, bringing together choirs and people interested in singing. You can find all the information on www.deutscher-chorverband.de/chorpraxis/chorwoche

How can choirs take part?

You don't need an extra date or rehearsal room. In the week from 4 to 10 November, simply rehearse as usual on the day of the week on which you normally rehearse and enter this date in the Sample map of the German Choral Association. This makes it easy for interested people to find their way to your taster rehearsal. Of course, you should also actively invite people in your neighbourhood and advertise. Templates are also available from the German Choral Association.

How do people interested in singing find a choir?

On the rehearsal map you will find all the taster rehearsals of choirs in your area that are looking for new talent. Just drop by or get in touch if you have any questions using the contact form provided.

We wish all choirs and those interested in singing lots of fun rehearsing - perhaps we'll see you soon in one of 13 music youth hostels in the Rhineland!
