On 21 March, we celebrate the International Day of Forests! This year's theme is \u201eForests and Foods\u201c - a perfect opportunity to discover the many connections between forests and our food. Did you know that the forest not only provides oxygen, but is also a natural larder? From edible herbs and wild berries to nuts and mushrooms - nature has a lot to offer.\n<\/p>\n

The youth hostels in the Rhineland offer exciting programmes for school classes, children and families to explore the secrets of the forest:<\/p>\n

Class trip \u201eExperience the wild Eifel nature\u201c - Bad M\u00fcnstereifel Youth Hostel<\/h3>\n

Nature becomes a classroom here! Pupils discover edible plants, learn how animals and plants interact in the forest and experience how nature can be utilised as a habitat and food source. The programme is available as 3-day class trip<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and 5-day class trip<\/a><\/span><\/strong> bookable.<\/p>\n

Forest and wilderness detectives\u201e holiday camp - Windeck-Rosbach Youth Hostel<\/h3>\n
