Realising good intentions with fun

Would you like to do more for school in the new year? No problem: right at the start of the year, you can actively realise your good intentions at Essen Youth Hostel. The „Fun2Learn“ holiday programme starts on 1 January, as the name suggests: with lots of holiday fun while learning!

Learning can be learnt
How do you do that? Firstly, you find out what type of learner you are. Then you will learn all about time planning, learning strategies and self-management. You will also learn how to concentrate and relax through various exercises. Doesn't sound like a holiday? Oh yes, because it's great fun in a relaxed atmosphere with new friends and learning coaches. In the afternoon, there is a great leisure programme where you can try out lots of new things.

Chilling out, shopping, sport
The leisure programme starts every day after the learning units: it's off to the extensive grounds of the youth hostel, to Lake Baldeney, to the city centre of Essen or to the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. The programme includes geocaching in the forest, shopping, fitness games, yoga, slacklining and football. And in the evening, there's dancing, games, a film or a barbecue.
